Job Description:

The Opportunity:UCF's Academic Affairs Finance Business Center seeks applications for a Finance/Budget Manager. This position supports the Finance Director in the strategic planning and on-going measurement in achievement of UCF IT Division's financial goals by developing and managing the financial activity all departments within UCF IT. The Budget Manager is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to Finance/Budget Analysts and other day-to-day operations within the Finance Business Center.Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Provide supervisory support to the budget analyst team that manages a combined budget exceeding - $90 million, to include E&G and Auxiliary operations.
  
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the UCF IT Finances with the support of the Finance/Budget Analysts.
  
• Supervise the process of financial planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial trend analysis.
  
• Collaborate closely with the CIO and UCF IT Leadership Team to devise a strategy for multi-year financial plans.
  
• Maintain an open channel of communication with the Finance/Budget Director to ensure adequate coaching and support for Finance/Budget Analysts and the overall success of the UCT IT Finance team.
  
• Prepare visual reports that reflect the UCF IT Division's performance across various metrics and key performance indicators.
  Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience or combination of relevant comparable education and experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's in Accounting or relevant field
    
  • 4+ years of Supervisory Experience
    
  • Retail Accounting experience
    
  • Workday experience
