Position Overview:
We seek to hire a Mechanical Desk Engineer to assist the Locomotive
Engineer and onboard train staff with urgent queries or at the
train on route with our long-term maintenance contract for a fleet
of high-tech rolling stock. The fleet consists of Tier 4 compliant
high-horsepower locomotives in a push-pull configuration with
elegant coaches to deliver a high-end customer experience. These
trains operate from Orlando to Miami with up to 125 mph 7 days a
week.
If train crews have a problem with a locomotive or the coach, they
call the "Mechanical Desk" 24/7 on the radio/phone from the train
route. The "Mechanical Desk" supports solving the problem on the
radio/phone or en route. The trainset is in trouble, and you lead
the problem-solving!
We have the responsibility to assist the on-train staff remotely or
en route in a critical situation and guide them through
troubleshooting to limit service delays supported by remote data
from fleet monitoring that is sent directly from the trainsets will
be utilized.

salary range for this position in Orlando, FL is $68,100-$91,700.
The actual salary/wage offered may be lower or higher depending on
budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and
qualifications.
