Pre-weigh Technician$16 hPosition Overview:The Pre-Weigh Technician is essential in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of raw materials used in the production of our packaging solutions. This role involves precisely measuring and preparing raw materials according to specific formulations and batch records before they are sent to the production floor. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, precise, and dedicated to maintaining high accuracy to meet production and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:Accurately weigh and measure raw materials based on predetermined formulations and batch records.Prepare and label all materials correctly before transferring them to production.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pre-weigh area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized.Follow strict safety and quality control protocols to prevent contamination or incorrect measurements.Record and track all weighed materials, ensuring complete and accurate documentation for each batch.Identify and report any discrepancies in materials, weights, or batch instructions to the Production Manager or Quality Control team.Calibrate and maintain weighing equipment to ensure precision.Adhere to safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of raw materials.Assist in inventory management by tracking raw material usage and reporting any shortages to the inventory team.Collaborate with the production and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth workflow and meet production deadlines. Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; experience in manufacturing, production, or warehouse environments preferred.1+ years of experience in material handling or pre-weighing in a production environment is a plus.Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.Familiarity with weighing scales, measurement units, and basic math skills.Ability to read and follow batch records, formulations, and safety instructions.Knowledge of safety protocols for handling raw materials and hazardous substances.Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate documentation.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Key Competencies:Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in weighing and measuring materials.Strong organizational skills and time management abilities.Capability to follow detailed instructions and maintain quality standards.Effective communication skills for reporting issues or discrepancies to supervisors.Commitment to safety and compliance with company protocols.Ability to work collaboratively with production and quality control teams to meet deadlines.
